Flow Aluminum’s aluminum-CO2 gas battery is an advanced energy storage solution designed around our core product, the PowerCore Capsule. This battery technology makes the very high theoretical specific capacity of aluminum oxalate (> 500 mAh/g compared to < 275 mAh/g for Li-NMC and < 170 mAh/g for LFP) available in a fully rechargeable format. The technical advantages include an intrinsic immunity to thermal runaway and subsequent fire, a very wide operating temperature window, and a voltage efficiency of > 97%, demonstrated at cell level. These translate into a battery product offering market-leading operational safety, application and siting flexibility and the lowest OPEX in stationary BESS.
